October 9, 2007
From SATA-Peru-2007
Another sick day. It could have been from the excessive croissant eating during breakfast, or the lack of sleep due to the water I must have drank by accident in the shower. Other than that, October 9th was a great day. It’s been relatively overcast the past couple of days, but October 9th, with all its promise and glory, broke the foul weather with blue skies and cool breezes. In all honesty I spent most of my day sleeping. After discovering that we didn’t have Quechua, a small group of promising young athletes (Hans, Erich, and I) juggled for a good 35 minutes. Not that I’m any kind of expert, but Hans-cha has really been stepping up his game, he is no stranger to the two foot juggle. Our beloved Javier held a book signing at CBC last night, however some of us were unable to attend due to our overwhelming sadness of his encroaching departure and miscommunication on its start time. Nonetheless, we enjoyed a quant dinner and a dance show provided by Leia in room 103. We played an aggressive game of Gin Rummy and Leia learned and failed playing SPIT. All in all a day well spent.
