There are many web-based photo sharing sites, Flickr is one of the more popular.

It offers:

  1. Photo storage and sharing
  2. Organizing images into Sets
  3. Automatically creates different image sizes
  4. Create notes and comments on each image.
  5. Create tags, then search by tags, same tags are grouped into one set
  6. View as slideshow
  7. Create and administer Groups for collaborative albums, Example
  8. Send images to another weblog
  9. Create a weblog from Flickr
  10. Creative Commons control [1]

Limitations of free account:

  1. You can create only 3 sets of images
  2. 20 Megabyte per month upload limit
  3. Photostream (all your images) only shows last 200 uploads
  4. Only stores smaller image sizes (not sure the size)

  4. The API is the Application Program Interface, a set of routines, protocols, and tools for building software applications. A good API makes it easier to develop a program by providing all the building blocks. A programmer puts the blocks together.
