SAP info SAPs must be sent on 224.2.127.254 on port 9875 and SHOULD be sent with an IP time-to-live of 255. Pay attention to the TTL, using a TTL of less than 32 is silly IMHO. Using a TTL of 1 restricts the traffic to the local LAN.

Unit can multicast MPEG4 on destination 1, and also enable RSTP server
Can test DCC clients for unicast: PC keel3 DHCP IP 136.244.14.21, Mac keel2 DHCP IP 136.244.13.123, Mac keel4 with VLC DHCP IP 136.244.14.152, PC keel9 dedicated IP 136.244.96.103 on I2 subnet
Latest VBRick StreamPlayer Plus, v 4.3.0.7, 3 licenses: keep3, keel9, extra. Defaults OK for multicast SAP, IP 224.2.127.254, port 9875
To receive MPEG2 multicast streams
On PC, use StreamPlayer, click on SAP, or select IP 233.88.214.138, Port 1234.
On PC or Mac, use VLC, Open Playlist, Go to Manage>Services Discovery, enable SAP announcements. Select correct SAP. On a PC, the SAPs take a while to display. Or, go to File>Open Network stream. Select UDP/RTP Multicast, and enter the above parameters.
To receive MPEG4 multicast streams
On PC, use StreamPlayer, click on SAP, or select IP "233.88.214.137 va", Port 4444
On PC or Mac, use VLC, Open Playlist, Go to Manage>Services Discovery, enable SAP announcements. Select correct SAP. On a PC, the SAPs take a while to display. If you go to File>Open Network stream, select UDP/RTP Multicast, and enter the above parameters, it does not seem to work. Maybe the wrong syntax, need to use "va"?
QuickTime on PC and Mac. In the admin web interface of the VBrick go to Configuration>Encoder>Destination1, and export the SDP file, this can be distributed, or put on a web page. When opened with QT Player, the stream will play. A reference movie can be created from the .sdp file, and hosted on a web server.
There may be a way to enter the multicast URL directly in VLC or QT Player, but we have not succeeded in this yet.
To receive MPEG4 RTSP streams
In QuickTime Player, go to File>Open URL, enter rtsp://136.244.96.102/conncoll1
The name is established in Configuration>Encoder>RTSP server, in Program Name
To receive unicast MPEG2 streams- Note, we are not unicasting at this time.
On PC, use StreamPlayer, enter IP 136.244.96.102 and port 1234.
On Mac and PC, use VLC, go to File>Open Network stream. Select UDP/RTP, enter IP 136.244.96.102, Port 1234. The display should show udp://@1234
