Uploading to your Podcast

Note: You can only upload these file types: mp3, mp4, m4p, m4a, m4v, mov. File uploads are limited to 50 Megabytes each.
1. Go to your podcast, on the podcast server http://video.conncoll.edu/weblog, and log in. If you are having problems with the login contact Frank Fulchiero (860-439-5006, fful@conncoll.edu)
2. On the right side, click on "New Entry". In the dialog box that comes up, click on the "Advanced" button, you should then see this dialog box:
3. Fill out the Title of your new Podcast Episode.
4. Find and choose the file with the "Choose File" button.
5. Fill out a description of the episode, if you want, in the large box on the bottom. You can use up to about 100 words. Do not fill anything else out, when you are done, the box should look like this:
The above screens are for a Mac, a PC screen will be very similar, just click on "Browse" instead of "Choose File":
6. Click the Save button, this will upload the episode to your podcast, which will now show the latest episode:
You can edit the title and description, but you can't change the file. You can also delete the entire episode. However, if the episode has already been dowloaded to a computer, it will not be deleted from it.
TO HEAR THE AUDIO OR SEE THE VIDEO
1. On the podcast server, if the podcast is protected, log in with your name and password.
2. Find the episode you want to listen to, and just click on the file name. It will open in your web browser.
OR
1. Subscribe to the podcast in iTunes, by clicking the "Subscribe to Podcast button" in the podcast. If the podcast is password protected, log in with your name and password.
2. In a minute or so, iTunes will automatically download the podcast to your computer.
3. iTunes generally will check for new episodes once a day. New episodes will be downloaded and the podcast will automatically be updated. For immediate updating, click the Refresh button in iTunes.
4. Once downloaded to iTunes, you can drag the podcast to an iPod, or to your desktop.
